Following the recently announced significant gold intersections these copper intersections further validate our geological model, which has gold and copper being associated, much the same as the high-grade VMS copper-gold DeGrussa deposit within the region.


I set out below how the initial 'discovery' announcements compare.

SFR - ann 18 5 09 (the discovery announcement)



Sure, LSR has only used air core so far (shallow) and SFR used RC, but its fabulous find was at a shallow depth. The differences are stark though.

Other elements are at play though in both of the assay results, so that is relevant to a certain extent. The MD's report mentions them here. This is the pertinent extract:

The 4-16m interval in LEA0092 straddles the transported sediment/in situ weathered bedrock boundary with coarse grained conglomerate and siltstone hosting the 4m @ 3,674 ppm Cu. This is accompanied by elevated Ag (8ppm), Co (122ppm), Bi (7.4ppm), Ni (6,710 ppm) and Sn (141 ppm). However, Cu values > 500ppm also occur within the weathered bedrock between 12-16m in LEA0092, and in the adjacent LEA0064 there is also elevated Cu (4m @ 1329ppm Cu), As (872 ppm), Co (265 ppm), Ni (328 ppm), and V (1,020 ppm). The fact that other elements such as Arsenic (As), Silver (Ag), Cobalt (Co), Bismuth (Bi) and Lead (Pb) are also elevated coincidentally with Cu...........

Notwithstanding the stark differences in the assay results, I really hope that the results so far are a reliable sign of a big cu/au discovery (VMS??). I will follow progress. It would be great news for another greenfields major base metals discovery to be made in this part of WA. Ross and his followers deserve it.
