You are against an unfranked dividend.
MGX is my company. I own a share of MGX. Either I pay tax at the company level or I pay tax as a shareholder . . . either way, if I receive a dividend tax is paid.
What is the difference if I pay tax at the company level or pay tax as a shareholder ? (excluding special circumstances such as SMSF, low income earner or foreign investor).
If I get money in my hand, either I or my company will pay tax.
The sum total is the same.
Am I missing something ?
