The monthly updates had run their course and started to frustrate shareholders. Construction images etc. are easy to convey in the updates with just a few images. Progress was easy to see. The commissioning stage not so much. Anticipation of the monthly updates only for paraphrased sentences on the commissioning stage is a certain way to build up hopes only to let down holders. Not a good way to start a new month.

Now that the company is supposedly at the tail end of commissioning, the amount produced starts to become more important. Jerko probably believes that releasing a market sensitive announcement regarding a substantial amount being produced and that production is now continuous will likely be the best way of turning the tides on the share price. If the monthly updates continued, the amount produced would continue to trickle in, having a more subdued market reaction. Also important to note that this level of communication is what most companies have. The monthly updates are not the norm.
