The very fact they split this upper sheet into 3 units must have been the thinking that they were 3 distinct structures. I'll speculate that on a 50/50 chance that they thought the oil from unit 3 could have migrated upwards from a lower level at 2500-3000m as the target as you mention is updip on this structure with the potential for lighter oil hence throwing 10 mil at this A2 well. Think the well proved in the end that the upper sheet looks more like one consistent block of heavy crude ?
