There's certainly upside if MIN was to purchase DSO to put through Mt Marion. Delta is planning to DSO ship it out through Geraldton and Mt Marion is a lot nearer at just over 300km away. You don't need an equity holding to strike an offtake deal but...

Another interesting permutation is what does MinRes do with all the fines that must be accumulating at Mt Marion given their recovery rates. One possibility is that the Mt Ida concentrator has a higher than you would ordinarily build flotation capacity / lower DMS capacity. Trucks go to Mt Marion with DSO ore even after the concentrator is built and come back to Mt Ida with Mt Marion fines. These stockpile fines would then be put through a flotation circuit at Mt Ida, along with Mt Ida crushing fines. Costs - extra trucking. Benefits - MinRes gets an ore blend that may help increase Mt Ida recoveries, there is also recoveries from fines and there's the unusual situation of trucks being full both directions. It might have MinRes assisting financing of flotation. Crazy idea, but it might just work.
