    You are correct about not using XRF guns for lithium otherwise I am sure AZS would have used it. . The tools used by AZS were made clear in the 7 August announcement (ie the exploration target announcement) and an extract of the relevant parts is set out below with my highlighting. The statement notes of the 1,129 rock chip assays, 899 were in TA’s 1 to 3 and the 899 rock chips assays exclude pegmatite outcrops AP 1-3, 7-8 and 13 (6 pegs in total).

    I also noticed they have undertaken detailed airborne magnetics and radiometrics. Maybe someone can explain how the airborne magnetics and radiometrics assists in the exploration for lithium.

    The extract is:

    “The Exploration Target is based on the interpretation of the following geology and mineralisation data that has been collated as of the date of this announcement, (which includes previously reported Exploration Results, and information in this report that relates to previously reported Exploration Results has been crossed-referenced in this report to the date that it was reported to ASX):

    • 40 diamond core drill holes completed for 13,765m;

    • 83 Reverse Circulation (RC) drill holes completed for 16,369m;

    • 2,747 drill hole assay results;

    • 2,157 density measurements on diamond drill core;

    • 899 surface rock chip sampling assay results;

    • detailed surface geological mapping and diamond core geological logging;

    detailed drone imagery;

    • geophysical datasets including detailed airbornemagnetics and radiometrics; and

    • wireframing and 3D modelling of the AP0011 mineralised body.”
