    ok but isnt it Xstrata be the one that decided the date of the JV? (if there is to be a JV)

    or do u mean nkp will give a date to X to decide if it wants to proced with its JV, so we are not waiting around for 3 or 5yrs before X decides when it wants to finall sign up?
