I've provided a link to a summary of Obama's speech (CNN Internview 2nd Fed 2015) where he blatantly states, that his administration brokered a transition-of-power deal. To install a US-handpicked puppet government (not chosen by the people) while the democratically majority-elected president Yanukovich was still officially in power AND still in Ukraine.
