My sister-in-law who lives in HK recently bought an off the plan development property from Country Garden, the development did not go ahead & she was p*ssed off that she had to travel to mainland China in person to arrange for the refund of her deposit. She is feeling a bit better about making the trip now as at least she got her deposit back in full
The China property market is in bad shape at the moment although I don’t think it is quite as bad as some anti-China pundits like to make out - time will tell on the extent of the economic repercussions, we live in interesting times!
