Hmmm that one obviously hit a nerve. All of a sudden it’s gotten personal.

To save you all going back and researching, I’ll help you out with a couple of facts.

I used to hold SPX. I sold a while back for a small loss. Reading these threads it appears this makes me the only person who has ever lost money on this stock. Also the only person who doesn’t own a company with 100+ employees and the only person who doesn’t own multiple boats, sports cars and aircraft. Also the only person who’s not a sophisticated investor (what a misnomer THAT attribution is).

I do hold other shares. I don’t comment on them on HC because they just chug along and do their thing. Neither they nor their management have had the spicy history SPX has.

My posting history is not exclusively “negative”. It is exclusively factual though. In there are posts that caution other posters AGAINST calling the stock a “dog” and the like.

My opinion on the stock and the company’s management has evolved over time as more and more evidence has been disclosed.

If you don’t agree with my point of view, or prefer not to acknowledge the facts I like to discuss, that’s entirely your prerogative.

But there’s nothing “suss” about any of it. Nor my opinion that SPX is a million miles away from a blue chip. Surely no-one here realistically thinks that is a controversial point of view? You just can’t make those sort of statements and expect every one here to say “oh yeah, no worries, we’ll be a blue chip soon.” It flies in the face of facts, upsetting or inconvenient to holders as this may be.
