Newboss, agree you can do some more reading, but happy to provide a little more info. The DSO operation currently expected / proposed involves only a single light crushing stage and, as nippy mentioned no tailings dam. The ore sorting is waterless and requires much less capital (and no water) compared to the more usual froth flotation processing that would typically be used. This is actually the ore processing, not the mining (i.e., digging up the ore) - though I understand people will often use "mining" as the catch-all term referring to both digging up the ore and processing it. Also, the shallow deposits such as 4100N and Thunder can be mined open pit and the ore-waste ratios are typical or better than average, so there isn't heaps of waste dirt to move before you get to the economic parts of the ore.
