Sounds like you need to move your business to a better broker. I sent my form and payment to Direct Broking (now Jarden) and they put it through immediately, no problem at all. (I'm guessing you're also in NZ).
On the bright side you still have the chance to buy on market at near the offer price. Or even better, the new options look very attractive too.
