hahahahahahaThe key part is that it has DRAM like speed (read and write) and similar endurance (2bn+ is a lot in the context of persistent memory) AND is persistent. Its the combination of the three that make it so special.
DRAM needs really high endurance as the data needs to be re-written very frequently as it is volatile memory. Comparing to NAND flash, like what is in every M.2 drive today, the endurance is 100k, but it doesn't need to be re-written as it is very persistent (15+ years).
4DS have DRAM speed, 2bn cycles and persistence (which is tunable) depending on the end use.
4DS has literally redefined the memory market here by filling in a space that it not occupied by any memory before it, some have better speed and endurance but lack density or are volatile.
Dave put that photo on LinkedIn because they all literally knew they were doing something that will go down in history.
