What can I say, this has been a big week for me!

- Bought a new house
- Got offered a new job with a significant car allowance (Polestar 2 performance inbound)
- And 4DS has done it!

Congrats to everyone who stuck it out and saw the potential.

The metrics they have disclosed are compelling - at this stage it looks like a DRAM speed equivalent with as yet unknown retention.

On face value that meets the requirements of Storage Class Memory - and if that retention ends up being in the years the following use cases look a goer:

- Storage Class Memory in the datacentre/cloud space (what 4DS has been shooting for)
- Universal Memory in the portable device (AKA Smartphones) space - RAM burns power to retain data - means devices with longer battery life.
- Automotive - ability to keep a lot more information "live" in memory - may help with self driving processors
-Aerospace/space exploration - memory that doesn't need as much thermal management to radiate the heat away to space.

If they can refine the process and achieve greater read/write speeds - BAM - UNIVERSAL MEMORY - at the moment they look on the road to be able to replace DRAM and FLASH.
