The thing is, AKE are being honest from the get-go. AGY didn't get the commissioning timeline wrong just once, it's happened repeatedly. The initial guidance was that commissioning would take ~4 months. After that initial target was missed, guidance was updated as follows:
- Steady-state production by Q4 2022.
- Then is got pushed to Q1 2023.
- Then it got pushed to end of Q2 2023.
- Now it's been pushed to Q4 2023.
Missing guidance once isn't great, twice is bad. Four times (if they achieve commissioning by the end of the year) is just taking the piss. People are right to be angry, the communication has been deplorable. I'm an AKE holder, and I can tell you right now if they miss guidance four times for their commissioning they'll be hearing about it as well.
