I know but the same happened in the UK - they closed their coal fired power stations and relied on gas for 40% of their electricity needs - they are now restarting some of them because the cost of gas is so high - The power mix is 40%renewables, nuclear is 15%, gas around 40% and coal 5% - this isn’t working - so coal is the fall back, but hard to bring machinery and people out of retirement. - The dilemma is no new coal stations have been built and gas is becoming prohibitively expensive so they are installing new wind farms as fast as possible - but what happens when the wind doesn’t blow - Australia is fast falling into the UK trap
