"The Australian" newspaper had extensive coverage today of the tribal fighting in the PNG Highlands.
Military type rifles and daily hired local mercenaries are reported with many dead and wounded.
When tribal combatants are heavily armed, Govt intervention is very difficult.
Australia and/or China policing support may be coming to PNG.
