CUPET has decades of experience with local Cuban Heavy Oil exploration/production.. I'm leaning toward a deal with CUPET coming into the picture say 30% share with major funding boost (Chinese backed) to speed up production plans in the short term of the Amistad and in time with Alameda ..
So maybe MAY interests reducing towards 15-20% of Alameda (along with Sonangol reducing?? ) ...
MAY would get free carry on agreed investment/targets into the Alameda Discovery .... would see major de-risk with the Cuban Govt CUPET driving production forward with extra rigs/trucking/pipelines in time and goal to produce large BOPD
Or something along these lines .. we know CUBA is HUNGRY for 50,000+ BOPD ASAP ... so would make sense to have them on board and MAY being able to collect its share and focus on its next exploration well in Block-9 etc
