I bought a few more to keep long term.
As far as the Citi analysts go it seems to me that all capex and other costs have gone through the roof and maybe it’s wiser to predict costs on the higher side rather than reporting on a failure  to meet targets next time round.

    cheers

    Pilbara falls despite profit jump

    MEGAN NEIL
Shares in Pilbara Minerals fall eight per cent in early trading despite its profit jumping on the back of high lithium prices.
Record production and sales drove a 326 per cent increase in the Australian lithium major's annual net profit to $2.4bn.

Citi analysts say Pilbara's result is in line with expectations but its capital expenditure outlook overshoots.
"We see risks to consensus earnings for FY24 on the lower-than-expected production guidance coupled with higher capex," the Citi analysts say.
Pilbara shares are down 8.2 per cent to $4.69 in early trading.
