I should add that the only reason I'm playing it super safe with my super portfolio is that I'm using most of it to by an apartment early next year. My super portfolio has rebounded nicely from pre-COVID lows and as the date draws closer I didn't want to take any more chances of another black swan event destroying it again. Like I said, I sleep a lot better at night now. I also have a separate defined benefit pension for life which is pretty generous and gives me all the money I need to live quite comfortably. It's linked to the CPI (which has gone ballistic in the last couple of years) and adjusted twice a year so high inflation hasn't necessarily been bad for everyone.
