The US economy , is, at the moment , by itself , as big as the Brics combined.
And the brics are China and India , and the rest are just window dressing.
Take China out , and look at trade , both general and between themselves , and use of their own currencies is peanuts.
And that is because people want to be paid in something with the least sovereign risk.

Now , of course , Drugut you don't believe in GDP , so I presume you do your comparisons using ????.
Probably US dollars , like most other people. Or maybe just hope and desire.

Now , I feel that the US has used and abused the reserve currency advantages that the US dollar has had.
I would love to see them reined in.
Replacing that hegemony with a rag tag group of countries , but basically China ,
isn't going to happen , and nor should it. They are worse.

Feel free to fill your boots with currency swaps betting that reals, rupees , or roubles will outperform the US dollar over the next 2 decades .

These false figures and childish videos are just b/s to keep the neanderthals engaged.

If the US dollar is to lose its pre-eminence , it would require China and India to ditch its little group of thugs and engage with countries like Japan , the EU , Korea, Australia etc .
But its behaviour is driving them away.
