I lile disclosure, I note that in their presentation of results PTM responded to legitimate criticism about renumeration and the splitting of the CEO/CIO.
As far as the shareprice goes, you take the good with the bad - I don't think the market is taking disclosure "the wrong way" just because it may cause the shareprice to go down.
Giving the public the "opportunity" to buy in at $5 then taking them out at a lower price would stink to high heaven IMO.
You may be right though, behind the scenes of any company listed or private is very opaque. This is of course why they made buyouts, buybacks or directors shorting their own stock illegal after the 1930's depression.
