I have watched the rebalance over the years. In June none of the ASX 100, 200 or 300 were rebalanced. I don't know why.
I have never seen an addition included and then removed from an index in under a year. Maybe they have some rules about, this but I would be guessing.
The institutions who hold shares proportional to their percentage of the index would complain about after just having acquired shares and then be forced to sell them in a short period of time. It makes sense.
