* US AT&T's U-verse triple play offers internet (18Mbps) + phone + 360 IPTV channels and is very successful.
* France Leads the world in IPTV take-up with more than 4 million subscribers, with France Telecom the largest of the IPTV providers.
* Britain IPTV take-up has been sluggish due to the strong satellite TV product. BT Vision has only about 398,000 subscribers.
* Hong Kong now-TV is very successful, with more than 927,000 subscribers, well ahead of its major cable competitor, i-Cable.
* South Korea strangely for a country that has had 100Mbps to the home for several years, South Korea has only a nascent IPTV market with 1.8 million subscribers. The reason for this is that the Government had regulations restricting IPTV until mid-2008.
* Canberra TransACT in the ACT already has a 100Mbps fibre-to-the-home network with a successful IPTV offering travelling over its fibre.
