There is a deeper significance here that seems to have been overlooked by some.
The bringing together of former enemies - Iran and Saudi - points to the future of this grouping. I suspect that other key countries of OPEC will join up in the future. This is history in the making and a strong move away from the West. IMO this is largely brought about by the sanctions we have imposed and the confiscation of assets of other countries. When you use these tactics against the Russkies - the message goes out - "no one is safe"? It does appear that they are all setting aside their differences for the "greater good" - meaning looking after their own interests???
