Regarding HGST/WD ….. im 95% sure it was either Khoutam or mjschackl (possibly both) who clarified this agreement….. probably a couple of years ago. I will try to dig the info up when I get time but K and m will hopefully have ut at their finger tips.
My deteriorating memory was that HGST/WD don’t have any rights over patents , so no royalties there. They have a right to a non-exclusive license for (I think 20 years). I’m pretty confident we don’t have any other commitments to them .
Anyone else who remembers differently please correct me.
