I accept the explanations of independent experts in international relations. If evidence to the contrary emerges which results in said experts changing their conclusion, then I will change my opinion. So far, I repeat, there is no evidence that Putin ever planned to annex former USSR territories to Russia. What evidence there is supports a conclusion that Putin had and still has no such plans and viewed the very idea as idiotic.
