Hence why Poland joined NATO asap. After they regained independence from Moscow in early 90s they were scared as hell to be forced back under Russian sphere of influence.
Unfortunately Ukraine did not. Hence why there is strong support for Ukraine in Poland as the nation sees what could have happened to Poland if not for USA and EU
