OK I give up on trying to work out how shorts are reported.
On a day when there is less than 4,000,000 shares traded, (the 23 Aug) they can report an increase of 11,000,000 new open positions yet there were only 700,000 reported shorts.
The day prior (the 22 Aug) there was less than 5,000,000 shares traded & they report there was a decrease of 9,000,000 positions closed out.
This is just another scam perpetrated on retail investors & is just plain bs.
