Just two pairs of stock specific data (SYR):
1) The shorts was 1.8% on Dec 1 2022, near the bottom of the Shortman curve, while the SP was $2.60 near its last peak.
2) When the previous Shortment peak (35m shorts) occurred in July 2022, the SP was at the bottom around $1.10) in the same period.
Some shorters may have made a lot of money in the past half year or so, but the current holders of the 60m shares will likely lose money, as the SP is more likely above 70c than below 30c six months later, imho.
