There are communist countries, and there are communist countries. Vietnam is a shining example of a communist country. It has a healthy splashing of capitalism. Politics aside, it’s a great country. Cuba is next level communism. A dictatorship. Afro Cubans are the poor of the poor.
Cuba ditching Russia for the USA? That’s doesn’t fit their politics. The revolution wont end. But it will be tweaked.
Cuba isn’t Americas fault. They nationalised American assets after the revolution. And then got cosy with Russia to supply oil that the US stopped supplying because of the seized US assets. Some of those US assets that were nationalised were oil refineries and tankers. And pipelines? Perhaps B9 too.
MAY has made its bed too. It applied for blocks that most didn’t and never would have. And they’ve partnered with Angola, another Russia ally. Angola voted against sanctioning Russia over Ukraine.
