Favco, nice work on your 1st chart. The lower trendline looks like the better one, since the upper one starts on what looks like the opening of that black candle - most people use either closing prices or highs/lows as trendline contacts.
The L-plate is a nice touch - but not needed as I suspect most/all of us here consider ourselves students of the chart and therefore always learning. Cheers, Sharks.
