Believing that human beings cause climate change is fine. Believing that Australia can do anything meaningful and can have a significant impact globally is fine. Doing something within a major organisation like FMG as a result is fine. And it may score browny points with your children and grandchildren.
But there's a cost involved. There may be trade offs and some potential $$ benefits, eventually, from innovations. But overall there will be a cost. And it hits the bottom line. Not just in 3 years but now.
