I didn't realise HC was a forum only for positive comments. As a taxpaying Qld chemical engineer I think I'm well within my rights to watch this project since it's the beneficiary of public funds, more high paying professional jobs in the state is always a good thing but this project has a number of questions around funding and execution that are entirely valid to ask. Is it right for public funding to prop up a privately owned power station when Qld gov already owns several that aren't generating? Is that that conflict a risk to the project?
Have people forgotten some of the state's failed ventures like AMC?
