Agree with Baraka there, Wayne Bramwell was recently asked by the Money of Mine podcast crew why WGX had never rebid on GCY. The short and sharp answer "fuel costs".

The Dalgaranga Greenstone belt had seen practically zero drilling over the 15 years prior to GCY ownership.
Yes, GCY spent a few years drilling out a resource as an explorer however most their drilling was shallow in nature as they were trying to find open pittable extensions to their existing brownfield targets/deposits. The only deep drilling from memory was located at Sly Fox and Gilbeys, please correct me if I'm wrong on this @speculator101.
Most of the (pre 1990) historical drilling's only been to a depth of between 20m to 40m deep, hence bedrock was rarely hit, at least this is according to the following co funded DMIRS report penned on the Dalgaranga Greenstone Belt.









In regard to contractor's Sabine, Wassa and I asked Simon that exact question a few weeks back. Simon had been receiving plenty of contractor interest, even Bill Beamont's Develop had entered a tender to supply Underground mining services and we all know how selective BB is about which projects they tender for.

You will be happy to know I asked Simon about Sly Fox only a few months back.
Answer: "Sly Fox is materially lower grade overall but has some high-grade shoots so well worth a follow up!"

Finally, I don't want to cast aspersion however Tanqueray I'm still dubious about. Every subsequent drilling campaign come up dusters and yet the timing of the original find seemed extremely opportunistic, didn't it? Cap raise anyone!!!
