Whilst talking about Iron Valley, I found an interesting note in the recently released financials - Page 44.
Key estimate – Rehabilitation
The Company’s accounting policy for the recognition of rehabilitation provisions requires significant estimates indetermining the estimated cost for the rehabilitation of disturbed areas, removal of infrastructure and site closureat a point in the future. These uncertainties may result in future expenditure differing from the amounts currentlyprovided.
A provision is made for the estimated cost to rehabilitate the Iron Valley site, which is offset by a receivable fromMineral Resources Limited recognising the contractual requirement to rehabilitate the site.
