Lapdog, I’m not trying to defend anything I am merely pointing out that the extended warranties are full of exclusions. I am well aware of the deceit that goes on in some dealerships. The dealership that I worked for it was like the survival of the fittest in the jungle. The dealer principal made no secret of the fact that we were to extract as many dollars from the customers’ wallets as we could. If we couldn’t he would find someone that could. We were taught to deny warranties on second hand vehicles and hope the customer goes away. On the other hand I have seen warranty claims that are absolutely not warranty. I had a decade in the motor industry. There are some great dealerships and there are some shockers. Iridium spark plugs? Wouldn’t have a clue. Haven’t worked in the service department since 2007.
