JZ released the update either for the following reasons being a) always had planned to continue monthly updates, yet skipped July to hide terrible progress/results or b) required by ASX to disclose the problems they're having with commissioning being that could have a material affect on the share price.

You don't go from telling everybody no more monthly reports, to then release one exactly a month later. So you can speculate all you want, the only material change I can see is the first time they've included problems with commissioning. The rest is all the same copy/pasted stuff said throughout the year.

Don't need to be a "pseudo-MD" as you like to put it, to have a little common sense.

Well, the drilling for the resource expansion is complete, that's also news that we didn't have before. Maybe JZ took that as an opportunity to publish a general update as well. Who knows. I don't see that as a problem, on the contrary I am happy to read we are on course.
