The acquisition corresponds to 70% of the current value of Orora.... It may be the best idea in the world but why undertaking such a big endeavour now (with a terrible AUD/EURO exchange rate).
I am not qualified to assess the merits of the deal but I am hoping and hoping that this is not a silly empire-building exercise. Has anyone found any research on the deal?
Also, I believe that the franking credits expectation will be postponed several more years down the track.
