And in your fantasy, how is Wagner going to get this gold exactly? Confiscating mines is very different than confiscating deposits. Are they going to finish the exploration program, do the feasibility studies and build, commission and run the plant themselves? A ton of cash has to go into this before anyone sees any money. Maybe after 12 years on this permit and having little to show for it, the government simply thought someone else can get it done faster.
Disappointing but this is the risk I accepted with my small gamble in SRR and Africa. Will see if they can salvage anything from this future wise. So many good deposits in this part of Africa but the geopolitics are getting a bit too hairy even for the small, long shot gambles.
