...so that bike also has a reverse... no, we're just back pedaling to build up the opposite set of muscles this morning... noice
stock price is consumer confidence, which flutters around in the wind. and business is business, another realm altogether.
most of the folks who wander about here like armchair CEO's have too much time on their hands and for the most part, topped off with absolutely 0 experience running a business of this complexity.
but every day posting on what they think should be done, given such evidently strong (!) insight and decision making skills, as seen by how pi$$ed off they are about their own (unforced, and mostly uninformed) investment decisions.
looks a bit like fishing from this viewpoint. we see wiggles on the surface and then try to cast our bait where we think it's going, often spending inordinate time blaming something or someone when the fish wasn't where we thought it should be.
debt free
producing
drilling for more
keeping cards tight to their chest
selling a valuable product continuously now
these are the realities. everything else is conjecture
I'm in
on a tiny island off Grenada, yesterday I met a chap who had just returned from the us. Brought back 6 EV charging units and 1 Tesla model Y
He sold all 6 units the first day, and the tesla the next for significant profit. Started an EV charging business on the 3rd day, and business is thriving.
When I'm in the us it's obvious the adoption rate has jumped. Folks we spoke to who owned or had driven ev's were adamantly enthusiastic about the advantages and cognizant about the disadvantages being shrunk daily.
the studies on demand surging past the 5% adoption rate are very well documented.
as a career applied math educated person, the correlations are beyond significant.
we are lucky to be alive during these times. investments take patience, no matter how hard we swing for the fences
disclaimer: SYA is no PLS, but I am invested in both. I enjoy this place for the odd bits of info which do show up here, often gapped by a certain amount of teeth gnashing and hand wringing. whining usually follows. CXO & NVX & NMT also have something riding on them, so I do like my speculative ozzie plays too
prolly see another 3 to 4 years before I start hearing the word sell creep into my vocab.
not a self-proclaimed trader by any means.
65 yrs on the water keeps my perspective a bit different, to say the least.
cheers
