Paul Watt and Nick Woolf were quest speakers at the Thredbo Biotech Summit held July 23-24. Shareholders who feared that our directors were out snowboarding needn't have feared. According to the summit brochure;
Watt addressed Trends & Changing Business Models for Drug Discovery Companies while Woolf followed up with Attracting Investors and Maximising Valuation.
The presentations undoubtedly were straight out of the Phylogica corporate strategy handbook. The imminent signing of a major partnership agreement would have been very much in mind as Watt and Woolf addressed delegates.
During the trading halt we have the opportunty to speculate on the importance of the new deal. I personally like the sound of maximising valuation which of course is a journey rather than an event. The announcement due out shortly will simply be another signpost that we are heading in the right direction.
