If you have a look on Y o u T u b e, you’ll see that China is rapidly closing the chip-manufacturing gap between it and the US. It is busy building its own short wavelength UV lithography machines. They can go down to 4nm now, and will ultimately match those of the Netherlands (which do all the lithography for the big Taiwanese SC manufacturers.
So, by acting to try to hold back Chinese development, the (stupid) US has just stimulated China to double its efforts.
