The fines keep increasing because our states are BROKE.
It's so ridiculous now that I admit spending more time looking at my speedo, than I do the road - you know - looking for hazards, pedestrians, and other road users. I bet i'm not the only one.
How can a high court precedent be set, that looking AT THE ROAD is more important than ensuring you're not doing a few km over, petrified into staring at the speedo in fear of arbitrary fines from a broke revenue raising state?
