I'm sure companies like Tesla & Toyota will have those kind of stats.
Just from observation in my suburb, the owners on Plug-ins and Hybrids are all professional middle class people (doctors , medical specialists, accountants , solicitors and a few teachers )
Tesla 3 seems to be the most popular plug-in while Toyota Camry hybrid is certainly the most popular hybrid
The Taxi station next suburb is virtually all Camry Hybrids.
From a mechanical point of view, the Toyota hybrid transmission is an ingenious system IMO. The planetary ECVT does not have cones.steel belts and complex hydraulic/control solonoids ; just simple dual planets , 2 generator motors , a reduction gear and a normal transaxle . The damper is interesting, IMO, because ot permits a seamless on/off of the engine ; so much so that one has to look at the screen to determine when the car is in full EV mode or when under complementary engine power
Others have variations on this system with internal add-ons; just more to go wrong, IMO.
