I see where you are coming from but consider this:
1. Albemarle has zilch lithium mining experience and is really just a chemical company and SQM is part chemical company
2. IGO is only a 25% partner in Greenbushes and does not seem to have any lithium mining experience
3. RIO is new to lithium mining so unless it poached experienced lithium staff from elsewhere it has no lithium mining experience
4. Mineral Resources seem to be a poor lithium miner according to Mr Lithium
5. Out of Wesfarmers and SQM at the Mt Holland JV lithium mine who is the manager or is it the blind leading the blind?
6. Can’t see there is much experience outside Australia developing and running hard rock lithium mines
So who is good at hard rock lithium mine development? Greenbushes and PLS if you believe Mr Lithium and the former is a JV between Chinese and IGO. A Chinese TO or significant investment in AZS would be very difficult if not impossible but Chinese could have good hard rock Lithium experience.
My conclusion is there is very limited lithium hard rock mining experience with the only company that could help being PLS. It is a problem for the whole hard rock lithium industry Australian, Canada, etc.
Best bet for AZS is to poach people from PLS and operator of Greenbushes perhaps starting from mid-2024.
