If it was me I'd not be interested in a seat on the board right now. There's a kind of convention about board solidarity. Best to stay away if one has an agenda contrary to the exiting board.
BUT interestingly, I really have doubts about the board's commitment here and I think their agenda is really to get ALB out of their hair so they can extract more value from this. So unofficially, they are possibly fine with Hancock Prospecting following their own strategy and staying off the board. They'll be talking just the same I expect.
