With the share price tanking, there will be many more shares issued in the dividend re-investment plan than the Board would have envisaged and anyone who doesn’t participate will be diluted much more than expected. Also with so many additional shares issued, the EPS (and the DPS) for the coming year will be lower than expected which will put further pressure on the share price. Cant see any rapid share price recovery from here - will be a slow grind at best.
