SGR property portfolio is worth a decent amount of money. I've factored my valuation based on a surprise $500 million fine payable over 10 years.
Just the property at Queen Wharf Brisbane, which has taken 8 years to make, and has dodged recession cost hikes for the most part, is worth $1.8 Billion on Star's book. This is before hidden value, which is an addback to the valuation.
If private equity wants to make a large profit, they should be bidding $3 billion for Star right now. And if they believe Star can't make $200 million a year in cashflow profits, with all the new properties coming online, then they are out of their minds.
