ALB will not be able to get 51% let alone 90%
Ginas move is responsive to the cheap bid indicating she will NOT support it.
in AGO she outbid MINRES & AF, FMG for $450M & made a $15B gain on it
Gina will move to block this ALB bid & take BOD seats & the EGM vote will fail if not withdrawn beforehand.
Gina clearly thinks this is worth a lot more than the bid & wants to dice with ALB on the global stage which can mean a masterstroke for her richest person status in Oz.
she is looking to take her fortune from $40B to $100B imho & is diversifying smarter & faster than the others are seeing value where the others dont.
ALB will be forced to negotiate or deal with her now. Means she can counterbid, JV it with them or block keeping this listed in aussie hands.
